Q: What benefits are included in the membership?
A: If you have a Membership in McKinney, you have unlimited access to axe throwing and darts, plus 15% off drinks, invitations to exclusive events, and the ability to purchase add-ons.
Q: How many lanes can I book with my membership?
A: A reservation is 1 lane for 1 hour. A member can have one reservation on the books at a time. Once the current reservation is underway, the member can book again per availability, even if it’s the same day! If you bring more than 5 people with you (6 total), the additional guests can get 20% off the individual person price.
Q: How do reservations work?
A: Reservations are 1 lane for 1 hour. Reservations are made through your online portal.
Q: Can I make multiple reservations?
A: One reservation is allowed at a time. Once the first reservation is underway, you can book another.
Q: Can I bring guests?
A: Yes, each lane can score up to 6 people at a time. Bring up to five people with you for no additional charge! Extra people get 20% their individual price.
Q: What happens if I don't show up for a reservation?
A: A no-call, no-show will result in a $15 fee.
Q: Can I use my membership at any Horse’s Axe location?
A: Nope. It’s good for the location you sign up at.
Q: What is the minimum age to own a membership?
A: The minimum age is 18 years old.
Q: Can minors participate in axe throwing?
A: Yes. Ages 7 and under can use a foam axe only. Ages 8-12 can be tested by a Horse's Axe Coach, and if deemed unsafe, they can only use a foam axe. Ages 13-17 require an adult present.
Q: Is ID required for lane access?
A: Yes. The member must present their ID for the reservation.
Q: Do I (the member) have to be present for the reservation or can I let other people use my membership?
A: The member has to be present for the reservation. We will ask for an ID. Other people cannot use your membership.
Q: Can I add family members to my membership?
A: Yes, up to four immediate family members (Spouse/Significant other and children) can be added with a monthly add-on per person. Family members share in the benefits of the plan.
Q: How old does a family member have to be to be included in the membership?
A: 16 years old. There must still be an 18 year old (adult) present for the reservation.
Q: If I add a family member, does that mean I can reserve 2 lanes?
A: Nope. Family members share in the benefits of the single membership: 1 lane for 1 hour at a time. But, it does allow them to use the membership without the primary member being present at the reservation.
Q: My Spouse and I each have stand alone memberships, can we reserve 2 lanes?
A: Yup! If a second family member has a separate membership, they can reserve a separate lane at the same time per availability. Each of you would book a single lane using your individual membership.
Q: Can extended family or friends be added?
A: No, only spouses/significant others and children qualify.
Q: How long is my promotional offer good for?
A: as long as you are paying for it. If you stay signed up with us for 100 years, you get it for 100 years.
Q: How are membership fees paid?
A: Monthly dues are paid in advance via automatic debit or credit card.
Q: Can I sign up for a year in advance?
A: Not at this time.
Q: Can I pay monthly with cash?
A: Nope.
Q: Is there a late payment fee?
A: Yes, a $15 fee applies if payment is not received within 5 days of the due date.
Q: Can I customize my membership?
A: Yes, plans can be customized with add-ons through your online portal.
Q: How do I remove items from my membership?
A: Visit a Horse's Axe location to make changes to your membership.
Q: How do I cancel my membership?
A: Cancellations must be done in person at a Horse’s Axe location with 30 days' notice.
Q: Can I cancel immediately after signing up?
A: No, cancellations are not accepted on the day of sign-up.
Q: Do I need to sign a waiver every time I come in?
A: Nope, all members will sign a waiver when they sign up for their membership. Members therefore automatically have a waiver included in their portal. Guests of a member must sign a liability waiver before participating.
